Mechanical Foam Breaker for Textile Dyeing & Finishing
Dyeing, desizing, mercerising and finishing baths foam from surfactants and processing aids. Foam causes uneven dyeing, fabric marking and lost chemicals — and defoamers can leave residue that affects hand feel and subsequent finishing.
What foam actually costs you
- ▲Foam in dye baths causes uneven dyeing and shade differences across the batch
- ▲Foam carry-over marks fabric and fouls padding and coating rolls
- ▲Chemical defoamer residue can affect hand feel and later finishing steps
- ▲Foam-laden rinse water adds load to effluent treatment
How the DP Series fixes it
The DP Series breaks textile bath foam mechanically on open tanks and troughs. No chemicals added, no residue on the fabric, continuous operation with low maintenance.

Open-tank and trough mounting; corrosion-resistant construction.

Why a mechanical foam breaker beats chemical defoamers here
Mechanical foam breaker (DP Series)
- • No chemical dosing — zero interference with your process chemistry
- • One-time purchase, 12-month warranty, 10-year service life
- • No ongoing anti-foam agent cost — payback in 6-12 months
- • No residue in product or effluent — food & pharma safe
- • Centrifugal principle: instant foam breaking at the surface
Chemical defoamer dosing
- • Recurring chemical cost every month
- • Can alter product flavour, colour or reaction chemistry
- • Residue in effluent increases wastewater load
- • Dosing pump maintenance and inventory
- • Overdosing kills the foam you actually need
Frequently asked questions
What causes foam in dyeing and finishing baths?
Surfactants, wetting agents and processing aids foam in dyeing, desizing, mercerising and finishing baths — especially in high-agitation jet and paddle machines.
How does foam affect dye quality?
Foam causes uneven dyeing and shade differences, carries marks onto the fabric and can foul padding and coating rolls. Trapped air can also cause streaks in the fabric.
Will mechanical foam breaking leave residue on the fabric?
No. The DP Series adds no chemicals, so nothing is left on the fabric. This protects hand feel and avoids interference with later finishing steps.
Can it be installed on open troughs and jet machines?
The DP-K model mounts over open tanks and troughs, including dye baths, and is built with corrosion-resistant wetted parts for textile chemistry.
